Union des associations e-graine

e-graine is developing a national education programme about migration. Made up of a range of educational tools designed for schools and public spaces, e-graine combines an intellectual understanding of the global issues related to migration with real human encounters between people (both mobile and settled), migration actors and projects. The aim is global citizenship education through workshops and tools, design and implementation of training, and advocacy action.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, e-graine has chosen to maintain its annual seminar, organised in a safe way. It seemed important to us to bring together volunteer leaders and permanent staff from the different associations of the movement in order to take stock of progress, to structure and strengthen our cooperation, and to collectively build the future of our movement. "They didn't know that it was impossible, so they did it," Mr. Twain said.

This experiential exhibition was designed by e-graine in close collaboration with its scientific committee. It is nourished by the diversity of its visitors, who are alternately subjects of experiments and depositaries of testimonies, intended to allow visitors to better understand multicultural France. One out of three French people has foreign parents or grandparents. A group of French citizens shared their family histories, which are far from “national”, deconstructing prejudices about migration.

The Climate Living Lab
Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (AUAS)

Climate Living Lab consists of two innovative educational practices: the ClimateLab and ClimateFactory. Both educational practices complement each other in terms of methodology and content and reinforce each other's work on glocal challenges. The ClimateFactory is a voluntary and open coalition in which everyone (students, staff and external stakeholders) can contribute to climate and global issues in an informal learning environment within AUAS. In the ClimateLab students create solutions for climate issues with a social impact that require an intensive service design process. They work during a whole semester in interdisciplinary, international and intergenerational teams on a climate issue.

The Climate Factory Festival featured a shuttle of solar-powered boats, the longest veggie table, a campus run and workshops on sustainability, although these activities had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.
